A kiss is just a kiss
To help celebrate Valentine's day, the good folks at Harlequin and Sonic Boom decided it was time to make a grand gesture and patent the essential romantic kiss. Recognizing that everyone has their very own take on just how the perfect kiss should happen, it seemed only prudent to give the people a forum to take credit for their own special techniques by patenting their own kiss. Recognizing us for the skilled romantics that we are, Sonic Boom approached us at Relish to help develop an application that could give people the freedom they needed to fully express their own kissing prowess.
Get a little help
Before prospective kiss patenters jump in, the app offers them a short introduction with step-by-step instructions on how to position characters, add/remove accessories, create annotations and in general, how to create the perfect kiss.
Don't be shy
This isn't your grandparents standard peck. The Patent Your Kiss app provides a wealth of options to satisfy even the most ambitious lovers. Start by choosing between several locations like Paris for a bit of romance, or Vegas for adventure and move on to customizing character features like lips, noses, eyes, and hair to make them resemble you and your significant other (or that secret crush). For the more adventurous kissers, there's an arsenal of accessories and props. Viking helmet and chaps not your style? We recommend playing it safe with some classics, like an eye patch and a nice moustache.
The people have spoken
So it turns out people like to kiss. And not only do they like to kiss, they're pretty opinionated about how it should be done! The patents so far range from cute and coy to kinky and, let's face it, just plain scary. Now, we don't like to name drop but when the Kardashian sisters start getting in on the act, you can't keep it a secret.
